Election Day is just around the corner. But just because the big day is almost here doesn’t mean you should let up on your campaign. If anything, now is the time to ramp up the pressure. Many elections are decided based on the actions candidates take in the final days leading up to Election Day. So, here are last-minute things you can do to help your campaign in the days before the election:

Inform your voters on how to vote

You may have tons of support, but it won’t do any good if that support isn’t translated into votes. Voters, for all their good intentions, may not know the rules governing how they go to vote. In the days and weeks leading up to the election, be sure to spread this information far and wide. Voters should know when (and how) to register, where they can vote, what they should bring, and what days and hours they are able to vote.

Provide up-to-date information on your candidate

Most voters research candidates in the final days leading up to the election. As such, you need to provide as much information as possible on your candidate during this crucial time. Keep your website updated, spread information via social media channels, and have your candidate be available for media interviews. Your website should also be properly optimized with Search Engine Optimization to ensure that it’s the first thing that pops up when a voter Googles your candidate.

Spread your message

Social media is one of the most important tools for political candidates, especially near the end of the campaign. Have your candidate record short campaign videos that can be easily spread across social media platforms. Then, use targeted campaigns to further shore up your base. For the die-hard supporters, send out email campaigns with information about precinct walks, phone banks, and fundraisers to get as many volunteers as possible.

Talk to the voters

At the end of the day, voters need to know that their voices are heard. Donors and reporters will only get you so far.  So, continue to have your candidate meet and greet with voters up until the end of the campaign. Talk, text, walk, and call your voters to make them see that your candidate cares.
